Who We Are

Jotisu was set up in Liverpool in 2011 by a small group of electricians who had been fitting domestic wiring across the city and kept getting asked the same question: could they also put up solar panels? Back then that meant sourcing separate certifications and learning a trade most local firms had not touched yet. We did it anyway, and fifteen years later that decision is still the backbone of the business.

What started as a two-van operation now runs with a team of 20, covering 9 districts around Liverpool, from terraced streets near Lark Lane to newer builds out toward the edges of the city. We have completed 4,142 jobs since then, for 3,600 separate clients, and 542 of them came back a second time — for an extension, a battery add-on, or simply a system check a few years down the line.

Mission and Outlook

Our aim is simple: make sure the panels a household or a small business pays for keep working properly for as long as they are on the roof. That means straightforward installation work, but it also means turning up for the maintenance visits that most people forget to book until output drops.

We are not trying to be the biggest name in renewable energy. We would rather stay a firm that answers the phone, gives a reply within about 3 hours of a request, and shows up on the day agreed. Liverpool's weather does not always cooperate, and a system that was fitted well ten years ago can still fail if nobody ever looks at the connections again — that is the gap we work in.

What Guides the Work

Straight Answers

If a roof is not suited to solar, or the numbers do not add up for a particular property, we say so at the survey stage rather than after a deposit is paid.

Accountable Fitting

Every mounting point, cable run and inverter placement is checked against the manufacturer's install guide before we sign off a job as finished.

Long-Term View

A panel installed today should still be generating properly in 2036. We fit and maintain with that stretch of time in mind, not just the first year.

How a Project Runs, Step by Step

  1. You call, email, or fill in the contact form — a member of the team gets back to you, typically within around 3 hours.
  2. We arrange a site visit to look at roof angle, shading from nearby buildings, and the condition of the existing electrics.
  3. You receive a written quote covering panel count, expected output, and a fixed price — no verbal estimates that change later.
  4. Installation is scheduled around your availability; most domestic jobs in and around Liverpool are completed within a day or two.
  5. We register the system, hand over documentation, and explain what a normal maintenance schedule looks like going forward.
